Racial Justice Orientation

  • First Congregational United Church of Christ 1126 Southwest Park Avenue Portland, OR, 97205 United States (map)

Please join members of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) PDX, The Marilyn Buck Abolitionist Collective (MBAC), and For White Accountability in Racial Dialogue (ForWARD), for an evening of getting to know some of the primarily white/European racial justice organizations here in Portland. Each organization will have members present to introduce the work that we do and our politics, answer questions, and offer ways to plug in. With the growing interest in our various organizations, we feel that this is an opportunity for folks new to this type of work to orient themselves to racial justice organizing by meeting with people and groups that are already involved in the movement to dismantle white supremacy.

Accessibility notes:
The First Congregational UCC is an open and affirming church space.
The entrance is wheelchair accessible.
The restrooms are not gender neutral, however you are encouraged to use whichever restroom feels most comfortable for your gender identity.

Please fill out this registration form if you're planning on coming to the orientation. Thanks!
