The Soul of Philanthropy: Reframed & Exhibited

  • Concordia University Library 2800 Northeast Liberty Street Portland, OR, 97211 United States

Join us this Friday, January 13, for the launch of Giving Back: The Soul of Philanthropy, Reframed and Exhibited.

The Soul of Philanthropy exhibit affords us a rare opportunity to see philanthropy differently and to celebrate giving as a way of life. By sharing stories and images, the exhibit honors the spirit of giving that is foundational in African American communities. On average, African Americans give 8.6% of their discretionary income to charity - more than any other racial group in America. As we work to craft a more accurate narrative of our world, this exhibit celebrates the ways in which a marginalized community gives generously and makes our world a better place.
