NAACP Lobby Day in Salem

  • Marantha Church 4222 NE 12th Ave. Portland, OR

Please join the NAACP Portland, NAACP Eugene, and NAACP Salem branches on June 12, 2017 to advocate for racial equity in Oregon’s capitol. This is a great opportunity to gain first-hand experience in how the legislative process works and also learn how to effectively make your voice heard in government. In Salem, we will meet with leaders whom we hope to gain support from on our focus bills. Our target will be lobbying for SB 496 and HB 2355 as well as the legislative agendas of the Eugene and Salem branches. As the Portland branch, our focus will be SB 496 and HB 2355. We hope you will join us in taking actions to improve our systems to better serve all Oregonians.

Tickets are free, but please consider making a donation to help offest bus costs.

*No prior experience or knowledge of our political system is necessary.
