Scarves 4 Warmth Volunteer Project PDX

Be a part of this North Portland/St. Johns Community Event!
This unique *Creative*Recycling* workshop uses clothing to be re-made into scarves for citizens without shelter in your area. No sewing experience necessary. Anyone aged 12 and up is welcome to participate in the workshop. Stay as little or as long as you like at the workshop. 

A Suggested Donation of $5-10 is suggested per person attending the WorkSHop.

How You can Help:
WE NEED - Gently worn SweatShirts/Pants - Polar Fleece Tops/Bottoms - Wool Sweaters (please shrink first)
You can Provide Polar Fleece yardage (1 yrd. makes 5 scarves, 2 yrds. makes 10 etc. available thru craft/fabric/walmarts (use your coupons)(buy remnants). **choose darker unisex patterns and colors.
WE NEED - All Sewing Notions: Fabric Scissors, Spools of Colored Thread, universal machine needles, bobbins, thimbles,
Dressmaker Pins, Embroidery Floss, Embroidery needles or tapestry needles, pin cushions, seam rippers, yarn and Buttons.
