On February 2, Ascent Funding presents “Breaking the Barriers to Capital,” an event addressing the key barriers entrepreneurs must overcome to secure financing for their businesses.
Small business owners will learn how to identify their financing challenges, find out how to overcome them, and get connected to key local resources. Included will be a local entrepreneur panel discussing "lessons learned," and a banker panel in which small business lenders candidly share their insights on approving or rejecting loan applications. Resource tables featuring key local business support organizations and networking will be included too.
Ascent Funding is a nonprofit organization with a mission to create financial equity and jobs in the Portland area through lending and business guidance to minority-owned, women-owned, disadvantaged, and low income business communities.
The event, open to all, takes place on Friday, February 2, at the nonprofit Curious Comedy Theater, https://www.curiouscomedy.org/, 5225 NE Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd, Portland, Oregon. Tickets are just $5 and include drinks and light appetizers. To register or for more information, visit https://ascent-funding.org/breaking-barriers-capital/.
