2-4 pm: Seismic Shift Panel Discussion
This panel discussion will focus on the way an artist’s practice has the potential to transform when given time, space and resources. Join us for a conversation about the role and importance of residency programs. Joining us as moderator for the discussion is April Baer, with panelists Karl Davis, Michael Endo, Ryan Pierce, Heidi Schwegler, Patricia Vazquez, and Marie Watt. This public program celebrates c3:initiative’s five year anniversary and is the closing event of the exhibition, Morphologies.
4:30-6 pm: Working Library Resident Showcase
Following the Seismic Shifts panel discussion, we will head around the corner to Working Library for a reception and showcase of c3: Working Library’s artists in residence. Born of the c3: Working Library incubator, this collaborative residency fostered creatively-driven projects exploring the notion of the library as a site of production, collection, social engagement, and scholarship. The residency was open to People of Color in Oregon and Washington and supported project ideas which sought to challenge and expand commonplace definitions of publication.
