LCSNW, Cascadia, Catholic Charities, and the Multnomah County Health Department have come together to create a year-long information series that highlights the experiences of refugees and immigrants. The series was created to help dispel the singular narrative that is given to refugees and immigrants of being either victims or villains, and to present these individuals as who they really are: complex and accomplished human beings.
On January 14, 2019 we are honored to welcome Kelsey LeBrun Keswani and Bernal Cruz Munoz from RAIN International. They will present their workshop, Changing the Narrative, that provides tools to people working with refugee and immigrant populations on how to effectively change the narrow and one-dimensional narratives of migration.
We hope you can join us on January 14, 2019 from 3:00pm to 5:30pm at Cascadia Garlington Center.
