We are committed to working with student interns to help them achieve their learning objectives and to receive course credits. We have worked with students of all ages to create a customized learning opportunity and hands-on work experience. Why? Because we have all been interns before and we know that you have a lot to bring to the table as well! Our preference is to provide paid internship opportunities as funding allows. Interns must be enrolled in school at time of internship.
Interested in interning with us? Fill out the form below and tell us more about yourself - what you are studying, why you want to intern with us, and what you hope to learn. We will follow up with you within 5-7 business days of submitting the form.
Interns at the Farmers Market
We operate a paid internship program through a partnership with Urban Opportunities (a program of Impact NW) that serves at-risk youth by teaching them job-readiness, leadership skills and self-confidence.
The first interns began working with the farmers market in 2010. Since then, we have had three Roosevelt High School students intern at the market each season. The interns participate in all aspects of the farmers market, learning things like set-up and break-down, customer service, sales, community involvement and group decision-making.
We are fortunate to work with a great team of young people each season. You can see our interns hard at work each Saturday. Look for them at the info booth!
