Key Responsibilities: Work in-house in our studio in St Johns.
Write & revise online product copy.
Write and build marketing mailers.
Work to maintain & improve online listings, including generating and updating key terms.
Proofread text on products and online.
Help build and maintain spreadsheets & databases of products.
Data entry for bookkeeping.
Organize and key term images, organize files.
Research current events in science and write entertaining synopses.
Accurately research historical scientific figures and topics and present findings.
Plan and carry out effective social media marketing campaigns including MailChimp mailers, Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest posts.
Pick and pack orders on busy days.
Represent our company at trade shows (possible travel along with booth setup and breakdown may be required).
Various studio and warehouse tasks as needed.

Qualifications: Fluent and articulate command of English, including strong writing, speaking and reading ability.
Meticulous organizational skills.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Understanding of social media and marketing techniques.
The ability to sell.
Comfort working with Google Sheets & Excel.
Portfolio of writing samples demonstrating proficiency in a variety of styles.
Ability to research and understand scientific topics and current events.
The ability to thrive in a fluid, collaborative environment, take direction, and work efficiently.
A desire to work in a fast-paced environment on science-themed writing projects.
A fearless approach to problem-solving.
The desire and self-motivation to learn new skills.
Your own creative ideas, and the willingness to combine them with our vision.
Experience in and/or demonstrated interest in science.
Experience creating product listings, finding appropriate key terms, working within Shopify, Etsy & Amazon.
Experience with Quickbooks a plus.

Comfort interacting with customers online and in person.

Any additional information:: We are looking to hire a studio and marketing assistant to help with office organization, copywriting for products, online listing management, social media, proofreading and science research. Additional tasks will include creating and organizing spreadsheets, organizing images, file management, keyword optimization, and helping in the warehouse pulling and packing orders on busy days.
