In 2007, throughout the world, many brands of popular dog and cat foods were recalled due to being contaminated with melanine and cyanuric acid. These additives proved to be fatal to the pets that consumed these products. As a result, Serge Ouattara opened Tre Bone as a place where these foods would not be sold. He wanted his customers to be sure that the products in the store were of the highest quality.
Tre Bone just celebrated its 15th year in business this past December! Having grown up in Marseille, France, Serge wanted to replicate the feel of a shop in a small French village. Serge feels that St. Johns is just such a place. The kind of neighborhood that can meet all of your needs and where the staff are friendly and know you by name.
Offering their lowest prices everyday, make sure you ask about their loyalty programs for pet food. Purchase 12 cans and get your 13th free!
Serge would like to give a special shout out to fellow BIPOC-owned business Taqueria Santa Cruz! Great food, a wonderful family atmosphere, and a large variety of products make this a worthwhile visit!
Follow along with us on social media this month as we continue to highlight this incredible family business. If you or a business you admire, would like to be highlighted, please send an email to David our Outreach Coordinator at: community@stjohnsopportunity.org
