St Johns Farmers Market Featured BIPOC Vendors 2023

Dos Hermanos: Welcome back to another longtime farmers market vendor that needs no introduction, Dos Hermanos Bakery!

Brothers Gabriel and Josue have been in business for 7 years now and can be found at the St Johns Farmers Market (just look for the giant line). Their pastries sell out fast and so does their most popular item, the sourdough pull-apart! Get in line early, it’s worth the wait.

Alshiref Design & Print: Introducing Alshiref of Alshiref Design & Print. In business since 2014 and no stranger to St. Johns. At his booth you can always find the most unique hand-drawn prints. Popular items include anything with the iconic St Johns Bridge!

Fun little fact: did you know that Alshiref grew up scuba diving in the Red Sea in Egypt?

Mays Produce & Flowers: Introducing longtime vendors, May’s Produce and Flowers.

A small, family run farm located in Oregon City, you can often find Yobani and Victoria running the booth at the farmers market.

Currently selling the most beautiful bouquets of flowers and seasonal veggies like sugar snap peas!

McKayla & Maison

Jade, Reese and their family created MCKAYLA + MAISON to help with paying for their college education. Jade attends Oregon State University and Reese attends Pacific University. All of their kettle corn and popcorn is made at their home right before market days. There are always tons of flavors to choose from, but the most popular is the Chicago Style which is a mix of caramel and cheddar popcorn!

Their favorite part about their business is the community’s ongoing support and making connections within the community. Find MCKAYLA + MAISON at the St. Johns Farmers Market and at the Tigard Farmers Market also follow them on Instagram at @mckaylamaison

Salsas Del Barrio

Juan and Lena created Salsas del Barrio in 2023. When they lived in Mexico they enjoyed eating salsa macha, but when the couple moved to St. Johns they could not find any salsa macha to buy.

This is when Juan decided to begin taking classes at PCC to learn how to start a business of their own. Juan was born and raised in Mexico, once he moved to Oregon he wanted to begin working as fast as possible. Juan and Lena’s business, Salsas del Barrio, is still very new.

Currently, they have one flavor of salsa macha, but they are in the process of creating a second flavor! Their current flavor is olive oil based, and their new flavor is going to have an avocado oil base as well as different dried ingredients!

Follow their Instagram @salsasdelbarrio to stay updated and catch them at the St. Johns Farmers Market and the Cully Farmers Market.
